Why can't someone just tell me about one of these things before it happens so I could get in on the rug pull and make some money with the rest of ya'll just once?It's not fair. They keep using tweets like this to make the market jump and wiggle and all of us have to just watch while they get rich off of insider information. Since no one ever gets in trouble for insider trading anymore I just feel like a sucker for being left out. :(

@futurebird Time in the market, beats timing the market. Stay in for the long term, buy boring dividend stocks, diversify and reinvest your dividends. That way you will be able to make a nice profit in 15-20 years or so.

@futurebird my favourite of those I posted about here, when Navarro said that we should get used to worse job numbers, and then the job report was much better than expected and USD and stocks shot up for 15 minutes until everyone remembered that the BLS is now utterly unreliable.

@futurebird The worst financial mistakes of my life have come from recognizing that something is absolutely 100% a scam and not getting in on it anyway. Being reasonably self aware and having some sort of fundamental set of principles is a significant obstacle to getting stupid rich, it turns out.

@futurebird tbf i think they are making money off the suckers placing counter-positions. imho, gambling is unethical anyway but it also seems unfair to blame casual punters when all the jobs have disappeared and the economy has turned into a speculation bubble.

@mhoye @futurebird I second that. I could have gotten so rich by modestly investing in bitcoin or other crypto currencies. But I couldn't see any sense behind them then and still can't.
