@mcc With this shop... that would make sense. They have a bunch of strange rules:* cash only!* you can only taste flavors AFTER paying for a cone* they have milkshakes but won't put them on the menu and act like they are secret?And their hours are just... IDK. I went in since I just go in there when I see they are open. Sometimes they just have two flavors, sometimes ten.

@futurebird Maybe it makes sense from their perspective. For them, as an ice cream shop, summer would be birthday season, because that's when people buy birthday cakes *from them.* They probably don't get a lot of people asking for birthday ice cream cakes during the winter.

August is tops, followed by July-October-September, so late summer to early fall is more or less “birthday season”.
