       The Karosta Sea Forts and Coastal Defence Battery stand along the Baltic coast of Latvia. What remains are fractured concrete blocks and isolated structures rising from the sea. Decades of strong currents and winter storms have undermined the foundations, and now the buildings lean and sink into the sand.
