🍓Move over James & The Giant Peach, this is Janine & The Oversized Strawberry! Languishing in a disused field in #Poland this sun-faded behemoth fruit was once a kind of roadside attraction for a large strawberry farm. The owner clearly had some quirky marketing ideas. This abandoned powerplant plant control room in Hungary was powered down decades ago.The oval room is lit by an immense skylight, which casts dramatic light across the original green metal control panels. The Karosta Sea Forts and Coastal Defence Battery stand along the Baltic coast of Latvia. What remains are fractured concrete blocks and isolated structures rising from the sea. Decades of strong currents and winter storms have undermined the foundations, and now the buildings lean and sink into the sand. An abandoned pottery factory, somewhere in #FranceThe small French #pottery works thrived for decades. It remained modest, while competitors expanded and modernised. While this gives the #ruins a quaint charm, it was certainly a major factor in their closure!Inside, the upper floors have long rows of wooden racks stacked with 100s of moulds.
