๐Ÿคก https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-15539297/Olivia-Colman-52-says-feels-nonbinary-describes-gay-man-husband.htmlOlivia Colman has said she has always 'felt sort of nonbinary' as the actress opened up about her identity in a new interview. Olivia, 52, who is best known for her roles in The Crown, The Favourite and Heartstopper and has been married to her husband Ed Sinclair for 25 years, said she has never felt comfortable with rigid gender roles, including in her own marriage. The actress, who is promoting her new role in queer film Jimpa, explained: 'Throughout my whole life, I've had arguments with people where I've always sort of felt nonbinary. 'I've never felt massive feminine in my being female. I've always described myself to my husband as a gay man.'And he goes, "Yeah I get that." And so I do feel at home and at ease.' She added to Them: 'I don't really spend a whole lot of time with people who are very staunchly heterosexual... The men I know and love are very in touch with all sides of themselves.

@jmakesart @HebrideanHecate I always read "staunchly heterosexual" to be doubling down on it because insecure in one's sexuality. funnily enough, when you good search it, AI does not have an overview of it

@ninafromcanadaeh @HebrideanHecate I assume that's what she meant, but the next phrase makes it come across like she thinks everyone who says they're heterosexual is in denial about something. In other words, if you don't claim to be kweer in some way, you're lying to yourself. You're incomplete. A man can't say he's heterosexual and then freely admit to liking musical theater, seeing beauty in other men, or taking on "female" gender roles. A woman can't dislike femininity and be attracted to men in a "straight way." It's all sterotypes at the end of the day. She's not a gay man and never will be, but she likes to identify her attraction as such because she has a generalized image of gay men in her head that seems more like her or what she wants to be than the generalized image of other staight women she has in her head.
