A question for emacs users who have a python REPL workflow and use corfu (so a very small, possibly 0-member group). Has anyone been able to get completions to work on the REPL in vterm ? I keep getting: >>> ["0__dummy_completion__", "Path", "1__dummy_completion__"]or much larger walls of text. Makes using the REPL impossible.#emacs #corfu #python #vterm

@tchauhan I guess the real question why are you using vterm of instead M-x run-python RET

@tusharhero You guessed wrong. That is not the real question. It is a stupid question. libvterm is a terminal emulator not a shell. Please never comment on my toots again thank you.

@tchauhan "You guessed wrong. That is not the real question. It is a stupid question. libvterm is a terminal emulator not a shell. Please never comment on my toots again thank you."The point is that you don't need a terminal emulator for python repl. Was that too rude to say? I don't know why you would ban me for that.M-x run-python RET will just work for with corfu or whatever because it is just a text buffer...

@tusharhero @tchauhan That seems rude for no reason. They're literally telling you that within a terminal emulator corfu doesn't work as expected and it's considered for you to use M-x run-python.

@divyaranjan @tusharhero@mathstodon.xyz No. They were rude. I prefer discourse to be precise and respectful. The casual, dismissive and imprecise language used ('guess,' 'literally,' 'real question' etc.) doesn't meet the standard for a discussion I want to invest my time in.
