@chancey When I went to Ireland all the wool clothing was made from imported wool because it's higher quality and less itchy. The profits on sheep are primarily from exported meat, the wool is practically a waste product.

@Zettour Yeah, it sounds like these farmers are making super thick wool suitable for carpets and little else.
