@TheBreadmonkey Yes yes merch HOWEVER.I think the concept of having a mascot is a much older and deeper thing than we are ready to grapple with. They are like the shamans who dress up like the creatures of the forest and dance. It's not just a US thing and it get re-invented over and over. People just love to have a guy dressed up as a creature cavorting around to represent them. I enjoy that this photo also includes a dog.
