as a fan of e-ink, folding keyboards, and obscure gadgets, i can't believe the Pomera DM-30 exists and combines all three

it also supports secure, private wireless data transfer (presenting the contents of your note as a QR code you can scan into your phone)

@joe How's the battery life? E-ink is power efficient but only when averaged out. An e-ink tablet doesn't last two hours if trying - pitifully - to render a movie frame-by-frame.

@Forestofenchantment it runs off of two AA batteries. i haven't used it long enough to burn through the first set so i can't say for sure what the battery life is yet. it's only running a text editor generally, and only appears to update the screen at expected times when typing, bringing up the menus, etc.
