computers:I plugged in a new thunderbolt dock last week, and it turns out that this broke my laptop's internal camera. I only found this out 5 minutes before a telehealth appointmentpost appointment, I rebooted, which of course fixed the camera, but broke my mouse

there's a scene in The Man With One Red Shoe, where someone is trying to use a bathroom that has been hastily reconstructed by the CIA. they turn on their sink, and the toilet flushes. They flush the toilet, and the shower turns on.that's how computers work on normal days, even without CIA intervention

@Taco_lad this is a mouse plugged into a usb hub plugged into a usb extension cable plugged into a thunderbolt dock plugged into my laptopthere's so many places it can go wrong!

@foone incidentally, today I learned there's a US remake of "The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe" (Fr: Le Grand Blond avec une chaussure noire).I only knew the original movie.

@dryak yeah! I caught the american version on TV a long while ago, but I've never watched the original. I hear from people who've seen both that the original is much butter
