One of the oldest errors of war– they invaded The Winter People in the middle of winter.

Now I am from Ohio and I have seen Niagara in the deep of winter. I'm not warm weather girl. But I also have electric mittens with only the thumb and finger free for extra warmth so I look like a crab. My jacket was made for winter storms ... on boats. Each boot is the size of my head. I'm am not a "winter person" I'm scared of being cold and very prepared.

@5ciFiGirl @futurebird Okay because my really anxious brain (not that I'm blaming her for my anxiety I want to be clear this was MY misinterpretation) was "oh god we just invaded greenland"

@futurebird As the Norwegians say: “Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlige klær"There is no bad weather, only bad clothing 😊

@futurebird Same. We rarely run around in the summer prepared for too much heat but the first frosty night in September and the car is loaded with coats, blankets, etc "just in case..." We literally, and have for years, have a "winter" kit ready to slide into the car.

@futurebird So true. Those who ignore history do so at their own risk.

@futurebird YES! I'm from the East Coast of Canada, currently living in Kentucky, and we get a solid couple of weeks that feel like "real winter" every year.Everyone assumes I'm used to the cold. I hated it in Canada too. But I know how to dress for the cold! And am willing to spend money on the winter clothes when they are available.

@futurebird That is what being a winter person is. Having a healthy respect for the cold, and being very prepared for it.
