#introduction I'm Kristy from NC. I'm brand new to the #forkiverse - just moved my account from mastodon.social this morning.Been writing code since high school and now I mostly code in python, bash, and sql. I started #vibecoding about 2 years ago while being cautious of the damage AI is doing.My hobbies are cooking, baking, VR, reading post apocalyptic fiction, and experimenting with everything #fediverse I'm currently hunkered down during a snow/ice storm and hoping to keep power.

@strypey Distributed servers are a core tenant of the fediverse. Moving from the largest mastodon server (largest by far in the world with 3 million accounts) to one with 10k is better distribution. I may move again after 30 days or self host. I like to experiment.

@effariwhy that all makes good sense.I guess I'm commenting in the context of one of the forkiverse admins posting that they're concerned about its rapid population growth. Which you may not have been aware of : )
