       Just my annual reminder that if you think you *might* need your assistive gear for FOSDEM, you probably *do* need your assistive gear at FOSDEM. Brussels and ULB isn't an easy one to navigate and while I don't use my walking cane daily anymore, I keep it with me for this (and C3). You'll want to try to keep the balance of packing light and still having everything on hand you'll need. #fosdem #fossdem26 #fosdem2026

       Brussels has some shops for gear like canes, crutches and wheelchairs in the city center, but the hours are short, the selection is limited and prices are high.

       If it is your first time in Brussels with a walking cane or crutches- please keep an eye on the ground for loose paving stones/bricks, mystery holes and general randomness.
