A few decades ago london was 90% white. Russia is just a few years behind the curve. Putin has stated publicly that Russia is a multicultural country and Russian ethno-nationalism will not be tolerated.

It has the same problem with an aging population as the west. And largely the same solution.There's also a much larger problem in the countryside. During communist times no one wanted to live in the country if they could avoid it, so when communism lifted they all returned to the cities. Putin replaced them with central asian farmers, so some villages have no russians left.

@DrBtc @Eiregoat Kazakhstan isn't a demographic threat at all. It's 18% White and only has a population of 16 million. Maybe 18 i forget. Immigration from China is non-existent. Some years it's negative. Other years it's in the triple digets, which when we're talking about 149 million ppl is statistically irrelevant. Like a drop in the ocean. The biggest long term threat maybe from Uzbekistan. But India is a possibility long term.

@blitzed @Eiregoat Yes. Russia WARNED the US to keep an eye on the older brother. They reiterated this and absolutely insisted they watch him. This insistence triggered the FBI to interview him. He passed.Unbeknownst to them he had already done a TRIPLE MURDER 6 months prior in the US of 3 drug dealers to get their money to prep for the Boston attack. So if he passed, the FBI weren't thorough enough. His younger brother survived and is on death row in solitary confinement. I live outside Boston so i know a lot about this. They shot a security guard who my sister actually knew. Someone that greeted her everyday kinda thing. Friendly guy.

It used to be the second religion in the sense that the Russian empire conquered a bunch of small asian khanates and had them pay tribute. It was never a common religion in western/european russia until Putin.

@Eiregoat @blitzed Moscow has had some internal migration of Chechens to Moscow it's true. And there are SOME illegals from Uzbekistan mostly. But together they are less than 10% of the population. Around 6%. Maybe 7%.
