@historyofpunkrock@sfba.social Out of all those, I've seen GBH, Iggy Pop, and the Sex Pistols live (in the 90's). The British bands. I would have loved to have seen DK and Minor Threat though, but they were a little bit before my time, and in a different country. Sex Pistols and Iggy Pop was at Finsbury park, London, in 96, and was a massive outdoor festival thing. But GBH, at that same time, were still doing the underground gigs, along with Chaos Uk, Exploited, Uk Subs etc... and as a teenager, I sat and had a pint and chat with those guys. Those were the days...

@historyofpunkrock I really miss listening to tapes in the car. I've been looking for a car with a tape deck in it for years

@historyofpunkrock The first album I ever owned was on cassette: The Boomtown Rats' 'Tonic For The Troops'.You've also reminded me that, on this day in 1980, it was the first of the three times that I saw The Clash live.

@historyofpunkrock Great selection! But I have to admit that the first music cassette I bought was Michael Jackson‘s Thriller. And I Never bought Punk Rock Cassettes. Punk only on vinyl! But Of course I still have dozends of cassettes with punk stuff that I recorded on tape to listen to them in my car.And last Summer I borrowed my brother‘s old VW Bully to Drive to a festival. It had a Tape deck, so I had the opportunity to listen to some of my favorite mix tapes. What a flashback!
