@historyofpunkrock 75th Birthday! Happy Birthday also to Rio Reiser, musician and singer of one of Germany’s most influencial rock bands Ton Steine Scherben. Protopunk and long-haired like the New York Dolls ;) https://youtu.be/UwE8dlRnsio#punk #punkrockhistory #knowyourroots #rioreiser

@historyofpunkrock When I was 15 or so I gave a presentation about „California über alles“ in my English class - and I was very surprised and a little bit disappointed that my teacher liked it ;).I combined the Original song with the later version of it : „We‘ve got a bigger problem now“.Listen to it now nearly 40 years later I must say: the problems then where quite harmless to the problems the USA have now.https://youtu.be/6xAkhzISOIU

@historyofpunkrock Strange that Jello from San Francisco proclames that he hates the German Schlager-Singer (and Performer of Wehrmacht~Songs) Heino. Jello is absolutly right, but how for gods sake did he know Heino

@historyofpunkrock Some day in the 80s I bought the Soundtrack of Ms Robinson with Dustin Hofman. Listening to it at home (it was mainly Simon and Garfunkel), I noticed that I didn‘t Like it too much, so I went back to the Shop . Luckily there was a Woman with a mohawk hairstyle at the Cash Desk and didn’t hesitate to exchange the LP - to Nina Hagen Band. So this is how it all begann….

@historyofpunkrock Great selection! But I have to admit that the first music cassette I bought was Michael Jackson‘s Thriller. And I Never bought Punk Rock Cassettes. Punk only on vinyl! But Of course I still have dozends of cassettes with punk stuff that I recorded on tape to listen to them in my car.And last Summer I borrowed my brother‘s old VW Bully to Drive to a festival. It had a Tape deck, so I had the opportunity to listen to some of my favorite mix tapes. What a flashback!
