The #subpoenas suggest the #DOJ is examining whether #TimWalz’s & #JacobFrey’s public statements disparaging the surge of officers & federal actions amount to #criminal interference in law enforcement work. The #law under which they are claiming to be investigating the two elected leaders is a federal statute on #conspiracy to impede a federal investigation similar to the charges filed against #protesters whom federal ofcls allege attempted to block #immigration officers as they do their work.
