the raspberry pi should have broken out all its connectors to the pin connector. like yeah a bunch of GPIO is nice but I should be able to do USB or ethernet over the pins

@foone I wish it were easier to learn (and specifically, easier to use an rpi to learn) how to make a USB accessory.I have Ideas™. Ideas that will never see the light of day because I can't do them, and I lack the resources to fund someone else to do them.

@kboyd yeah. I mainly make USB keyboards but I'd love to make storage devices and other weird things, but it's too much of a pain to do that

@JoshuaACNewman probably just they'd already used up all their USB ports on their controller, so adding just one more would mean another/different USB controller or an internal hub, all for something that'd probably not get used all that often

@JoshuaACNewman though I guess they could just make it mirror a USB port. that'd be handy, if error-prone.
