I have the worst migraine. Seeing sparkles and little blips of light. But I already drank coffee thinking I'd go to work. Then I realized I can't go. I'm too sick. And now I'm mad I drank the coffee. Trying to enjoy the light show.

@futurebird The worst ones I get are from caffeine withdrawal. Apparently around 20% of people have symptoms like this and the remaining 80% can stop consuming caffeine with no noticeable effects. So there's a one in five chance that drinking coffee was a good choice! (Even if it isn't the cause, caffeine withdrawal in addition will make the experience worse).

@futurebird When this happens to you, do you get pain? For me, I get the visual aura which gradually expands over the center of my vision. It gets worse if I try to "look" at the lights. But if I lie down and mentally relax it goes away in an hour or so.I don't have any pain, just a vague feeling of my brain not being right.

@futurebird on the other hand, you have reminded me to take some aleve (220 mg naproxen sodium, but with the all important time release that is missing in most generics (like "kroger"), but present in some (Kirkland, if I recall correctly)), so in about 90 minutes or so my own headache will hopefully recede somewhat. (My apologies if this is no help to you. )

@futurebird I used to get massive painful migraines in high school. The only thing for it back then was aspirin and caffeine - so maybe the coffee will help a little?
