What's the point of federating with #Bluesky if I can't see posts there without having an account?

@plantarum You can see posts from Bluesky accounts that have enabled the bridge, e.g., @radiofreetom.bsky.social .

@mpjgregoire @radiofreetom.bsky.social In some ways that's worse, as I never know until I click the link if it's going to show me anything. I was curious about Bluesky at the beginning, but the spotty way it is connected to the fediverse is irritating

@plantarum It depends. If you click on the link to the account of someone on Bluesky who's bridged his account, you can follow the account and see all his posts, just like following someone on the Fediverse.(Hang on, why isn't that working for me?)

@mpjgregoire Is there anyway to tell if an account is bridged before you click the link? And ideally, to block all accounts that aren't bridged, so I don't waste my time following broken links!

@plantarum @mpjgregoire I believe that if the account is clickable, they are bridged. but I think there's another setting they can turn on that limits visibility to those logged into bluesky. AFAIK
