I've not missed any distro packages so far on #GNOME OS. it even comes with the fish terminal.and I love that the #Rust dev kit is simple and portable. rustup/cargo with Zed (flatpak) is all I need.installing deps and building projects ALWAYS works. never had that experience with npm/rubygems which always turned into hell.

Why use GNOME OS? I think Fedora works very well in giving you a good default GNOME experience. And of course there's always Arch and Gentoo which are DIY distros that you can just customize to have it work exactly like you want, though those are for more advanced users. GNOME says on their site that GNOME OS is not meant for everyday use.

@squid64 heard from a couple of GNOME devs that it worked fine as their daily OS so wanted to try it out. I like the vanilla experience and getting the latest.
