Today I used a Toshiba power adapter to power an Intel NUC mini desktop computer. Made me stop and reflect. I rarely see Toshiba brand laptops anymore. They've almost all aged out and are no longer in regular use. I believe the brand name was purchased by another company and there are some new laptops being made, but they are rarely sold in the US (I may be wrong about all that, as I didn't confirm before writing this). #toshiba

@matthewDynabook purchased Toshiba, apparently.See the Company History:https://us.dynabook.com/company/dynabook-historyMy very first laptop was a Toshiba Satellite 1715XCDS.https://support.dynabook.com/support/modelHome?freeText=1073769664It had Windows Millennium Edition. 😩Later, I was able to install Red Hat Linux 9 (Shrike), and later, Fedora Core 1 and 2.It had an Intel Celeron 600MHz processor and a whopping 64 MB of RAM. I upgraded the RAM to the maximum amount of 128 MB. I upgraded the 6 GB Hard Disk Drive to 20 GB.
