If you are serious about a New Year's resolution my mom always said to start it at least the day before New Year's. It's a down payment. My resolution is to find a place to submit some of my complete short stories. So. Yeah. I should start researching that. (I was too scared to make one about getting the book done.)

@futurebird I like your mom's advice. I do often feel like I test-drive "do every days" ones of mine at least a few times before the start of the year - or rather, I notice myself doing something occasionally, and the resolution is about turning it into a solid habit.But I also set myself up to succeed and decide "every day" only starts from the first normal day of the year rather than the sleepy/travelling first days. If I do it on those days too, great; but if not, I've not failed.
