As a fun nerdsnipe, I'm getting pretty deep into 80s style speech synthesis, and have been studying systems from that era. What I'd like to do is a low-resource synthesizer that can run on chips such as RP2350. I'm reading the MITalk book and think it might be reimplementable, but have questions. If you know someone who might also be interested in this, please put us in touch.

@raph I know @microresearch has done some interesting work with old voice models. Some write-ups here: https://1010.co.uk/org/wormedvoice.html
