@PNS At least they included a "don't tip more" note at the bottom. I'm actually okay with how this was presented on the bill. Its an admission that the whole wage system for servers is broken.tips used to be a reward but the whole system has built them in as a standard part of compensation.

Servers do less and less. Yes, I understand the nigger problem is the biggest driver, but the motherfuckers working most restaurants these days are lower effort than Otis Redding by the docks. I tip if the server went above and beyond. I'm aware of wage laws. They all have to make minimum wage By Law. So, if they want more, stop acting like an entitled cunt. 🤷🏻♂️

@PNS If is my position that a mandatorily added gratuity is fraud as the word "gratuity" means "freely given." If you want to impose a service charge for some reason then that's fine as long as that is disclosed up front and isn't illegal by its nature but if you call it a gratuity I'm going to call it fraud and treat it accordingly.

@PNS I agree, that would be the honest way to do it. Though, honorable people already look at the menu and add 20% in their head to the price. I've had similar pricing challenges in IT project work. Everyone expects that change orders will add 50% cost to the project. So honest pricing prevents you from having the chance to prove you are honest. Thus even a huge sign that said "Don't tip, we pay the staff better than that, that's why our prices are higher" probably would backfire.
