       Just adding that despite the War on Tourism, Central Amsterdam on a random Saturday night in December is actually WORSE than Central Edinburgh during the Festival these days! It's totally crazycakes. (But I now have a chair in a serious beer bar so I'm not buying.)

       @cstross @quixoticgeek I went to Amsterdam a couple years ago for a conference, and made the mistake of staying at a hotel near the central train station. My room stank like weed every and all night from the street below 😄
