We have zero brand loyalty, according to hundreds of think pieces trying to blame capitalism on anything other than capitalism.I can't think of any off the top of my head, but for me to admire a brand and feel a positive emotion towards it, it would have to make things like it's the 1970s. Durable, affordable, repairable, no AI, no IoT connectivity. #bikeNite

       @IoanSaid @hyenachow @bikenite A2. I used to admire brands more when I was younger! I had to have a Cannondale bike. And then I wanted an Ibis, and other mountain bikes that I thought were cool.I don't think it's changed too much. I guess there's a lot of good stuff being made and also lots of crap being made. Bonus points if good stuff is being made that is probably helping the world? Like Cleverhood, by supporting advocacy and making nice waterproof gear?#BikeNite

       @ascentale @IoanSaid @hyenachow @bikenite #BikeNite A2:The brand I have an emotional attachment to is Schwinn, a company established in the city of my birth, Chicago, and the brand of the first 4 bikes I owned. When in high school and a golf caddy, I caddied for Frank Schwinn who was the CEO of the company at the time.Of all the bikes I owned, the 1967 Schwinn 26" Typhoon Coppertone was and still is my favorite.
