tbh I avoided the Android not-Gameboys for ages but the Ayn Thor actually kinda crosses the threshold where it fixes a lot of the problems I had with Steam Deck (actually pocketable)

also GameHub is shockingly good, not quite Steam Deck level (Peggle doesn't work) but it's a ton more plug-n-play than winlator and I guess it's already using FEX? Kinda just wish this thing had VRR so Blue Prince was a little smoother but it runs terrible on a 5090 lol

the only thing that kinda scares me a bit with GameHub is that I saw at least one game's install text mention Goldberg (Steam API 'emulator') which is just a Little Sketchy considering I'm logged into my Steam on this thing

@ShinyQuagsire@mastodon.social Yeah you only log into steam to pull your save data and game files after that they use Goldberg instead of running the whole steam runtime. Hence why you do not search achievements or anything. GameNative lets you run the steam client to avoid goldberg but like everything else with x86 Windows on android it is a mixed baghttps://github.com/utkarshdalal/GameNative

oh and the battery life isn't terrible, pulled about 2.5hrs on Blue Prince and that pins the CPU/GPU at 90% p consistently
