There is a friend group I've been a part of for nearly 30 yearsI feel certain that, of the dozen of us, four of them would hide me and my family in an attic if it came to thatBut two of the twelve work for companies that are mapping the attics and turning the data over to ICE. @kims Would the six of you who have a problem with the two working for ICE-friendly companies be willing to keep them and their families afloat financially while they look for other work? I've wondered about this as a mechanism for getting people to leave problematic employers -- a sort of personalized crowdfunded unemployment insurance.

@sennoma One of the two has a mid-nine-figure net worth and they treat the group to a couple of extremely lavish vacations every year. This undoubtedly reduces the desire of the beneficiaries of the largess to confront how tainted the money is[Imagine that one of them was one of google's first 100 employees and is still there 25+ years later.]
