       I notice I don't get into nearly as many juicy discussions in the #fediverse as I did a few years ago. I probably get more Favourites and Boosts, so people are definitely seeing and reading them. But I'm not getting a lot of replies.Am I being inadvertently rude or overly strident in my comments? Am I scary?Or is it just that with so many more people on the fediverse now, there's so much more to scroll through? So people are reading more, and using Favourites/ Boosts as a proxy for replying?

       A reply isn’t always good. “Engagement” isn’t always good. Facebook demonstrated that and now “rage bait” is very popular and very viral. It’s what drives algorithmic social media and that’s shite.I read all your stuff, I think, given that we’re on the same server there are no federation issues.Not all of it requires a reply, in my mind. I remember once there was something we disagreed on and that took 3-4 replies back and forth. Is that what you need?@strypey
