In age of LLMs and AI the most valuable skill we should learn is how to be a Tech Lead.So you just have a bunch of agents, you set up the framework for them and unblock them when they get struck. You also need to 3explain to them what they should do and what they shouldn't do.#llm #AI #software

@dragnucs using an LLM for coding is the same as trying to micromanage a retard savant.

By framework, I do not mean the technological piece of software like react to next, but the actual guidelines, how we work, the best practices and then the tools inside the software itself and outside it, and the best way to do work.Inside e.g. a nice handy helper function.Outside, e.g. a static analysis tool to reduce feedback time.

Of course this means one should have better understanding of the technology than the LLM itself.AI can be used to learn and progress to surpass it.

@newt they keep getting better, but you also keep getting better at managing them so you get more outcome.

@dragnucs depends. They are good at stuff that has a lot of training data to regurgitate. When it comes to venturing into either obscure or completely new territory, they are useless. For one, I'm working on reversing a rather obscure piece of hardware right now and no LLM can help.

@newt I would also say, stubborn and clueless.
