By cutting #aid for permanent #housing by TWO-THIRDS next year, the plan risks a sudden end of support for most of the people the Continuum places in such housing nationwide, beginning as soon as January. All are #disabled — a condition of the aid — & many are 50 or older [WTF?]. @Nonilex They are forcing treatment… After slashing funds for treatment programs. All that this new policy is meant to do is deny services and jail the homeless (probably in private prisons owned by Trump donors).

@Nonilex if homelessness is illegal, for profit prisons are a big business, and slavery is legal for those who are incarcerated… doesn’t take a whole lot of math skills to put together and understand what the goal is.

@Nonilex these human dreams of one proper solution... It is not working now under the current zig, and will not work under Trump's zag. If we were serious there would be all of the above including every economic incentive to build, changes in building codes, single payer, ubi, drug courts, building many different kinds of intervention and camps, and the realization that decent, clean, rights-aware warehousing of broken people in hospitals *is* part of the solution. But we are not serious.
