@shaman Palantir marketing. The power of information on the battle field has 1) been under constant development for a long time (see Napoleon's semaphore towers) 2) you can blame (or credit) Raytheon, Lockheed, BAE, Boeing, General Dynamics etc just as much. @GayDeceiver Another that us Xers learned, shut up when we don't mind someone we don't like willfully putting their hand on the hotplate. We are kind of a lost generation that way, having watched the boomers fuck everything up and leave us their messes, schadenfreude and pity became our go to moves in liu of enough numbers to vote in our own interest, or that of our own children, who are also mauled and inheriting storage spaces full of boomer Walmart garbage to take to the dump.

The first water station of the 2023 season is installed! I don't ask for boosts, favorites, or donations often, but would you consider any of these to help save the lives of immigrants, wild flower seekers, photographers, hikers, bikers, OHV enthusiasts and all the rest who are traversing our dangerous, desert backcountry near the U.S./Mexico border? @publicvoit I am running gpt-oss:20b on *a laptop* and it can write full error free python programs that compile. Locally.In this little experiment, I have it write a program to produce an animation sequence. Not a good animation, but competent code. Also to note, not anything anyone really needs written, and it is probably obvious that there are a LOT of pygame examples to train on!
