@stux It‘s not just a theoretical thing for me. I‘ve been coming to the US almost every year for the past 20+ years. I won‘t come until it is safe* for me (business) or my wife (private travel/vacation) again.

@stux I wholeheartedly can say I wouldn't want to visit the United States for all the money in the world right now. And I used to love to travel there for holiday 😢

@stux Not anymore. I was there once, quite some years ago and I liked it. But so much has changed. And even back then I was unsettled by things like the "No firearms beyond this point" signs on bar doors. Or the immigration officer who brought the young Indian man right in front of me in the line to tears and who opened the conversation with "What brings you to MY country?"

@stux If I were given 100 million € to visit United States, I would say: "I'd rather prefer to be given 100 € to visit Sudan or Afghanistan, which are way safer than the US".

@stux I’ve been a visitor to the US for decades, and was employed by The IRC on 42 & Lex for a while as well. Loads of US mates. Absolutely no chance I will visit again any time soon for all the obvious reasons - and I’ve actively helped marginalised people leave. Also for obvious reasons. Absolute tragedy.

@stux @energisch_ My friend from Bolivia took the plane from Frankfurt to La Paz just because he did not want a stop in the US. That should be reason enough for others, that are no migrants, to boycot the US! Show your solidarity! Feel the fear of people chased by Trump!
