We write in The Guardian this morning that the Commission’s plan to gut Europe’s digital rules will hurt European startups give U.S. tech an unassailable advantage, confirming Europe as a digital vassal. @johnnyryan Yep... the _one_, _single_, advantage europe had, will now be thrown away. But this was inevitable. Trump, publicly, or in private, will simply make this ultimatum... either you stop fining US IT companies, or I will force you to pay your own GDPR fines by a new international sales tax on all cloud services, and equal fines on european companies established in the EU, and naturally, increased tariffs. Since the EU is weak, what can they say?

@johnnyryan There is nothing the EU can do to counter. This theme has gotten me at least 1 mainstream media published article, and now my prediction is coming true.
