I ask this every 2 years and I never get a good answer but maybe this time it’ll workDropbox alternative? Must fulfill:- 4TB for $15-20 per month- Doesn’t require me to administer my own fucking hetzner box and/or run a storage arbitrage trading business- GUI app for Windows, Linux and iPhone. Should be able to browse all my files on my phone- Selective sync etc. All the useful features- Public file links- Doesn’t consist of a million lines of python

warning: if someone suggests a really half baked suggestion like “use rsync”or “buy a nas” or even anything that isn’t a batteries-included service I can basically just trust to work, i will reply with an insulting or puzzling emoji

@jk i just watched a python documentary the other day where the dropbox ceo was featured.i found it interesting that the reason given by the film as to why dropbox was important to the story was that its backend and frontend client were both written in python, which the film itself found astonishing. there were no technical justifications given other than “wow that’s crazy they did that!”.
