@CattleBaron what they mean is, that the baby's name has not yet been released to the public domain after the incident. Babies are named soon after birth here, as I imagine they are in the US, as they need one for their Birth certificate

@carolen WOW - in some states, that dog would be euthanized simply for attacking a child, let alone killing them.

@LadyButters it happens here too but the UK is incredibly sentimental about all dogs so it's not commonYoure as likely to get 'the kid must have provoked it' or 'no bad dogs, only bad owners' 😐

@carolen i was just thinking, that there are some traditions that dont name right away (prior to govrnmnt red tape requiring when birth certificates)my grandad was not named when he was born. his folks just called him "babe". he was around 2..maybe 3 when they called him Babe and his response was "I'm not Babe!" and his parents said "well what's your name then"he paused and thought about it and said "I'm Leigh"an extreme and unique exmpl, most other cases its a delay of months
