In honour of going back in time today - what do you think is the best show, movie, or book about time travel?#Movies #TV #DST #DaylightSavingTime #Bookstodon

Do we count groundhog day as a form of time travel? 🤔

Ignoring that question for a sec, my immediate thoughts about time travel shows are Travellers and Continuum. I thought the travellers concept for how they did the time travel was really interesting, and Continuum... Without giving spoilers, it was interesting comparing what history said vs what really happened. It did a good job of answering the questions you asked yourself while watching

There are others that I'm sure were great, though - it's just early and I haven't had coffee yet

For books... Well, I just read This is How You Lose the Time War and The Time Traveler's Wife, which I loved both of and maybe also is some recency bias for meYears and years ago I read The Doomsday Book and also really enjoyed it

I think the most recent time travel book I enjoyed was The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August, though it is more along the lines of groundhog day than traditional time travel.

Oh yeah - if anyone is into kdramas there are a whole bunch about time travel. I'm watching Mr Queen right now (only a few episodes in, but hooked), but there are so many others. There are a few movies and shows I loved but to say they were shows about time travel would be spoilers

Yes! Due to eye issues when I was a kid I learned to read for pleasure through books on tape, and now almost exclusively consume audiobooks. The reader for that was very good 👍
