Built on good old robots.txt, the new open content licensing standard Really Simple Licensing (RSL) adds licensing and royalty terms.Reddit, Yahoo, Quora, and wikiHow are some of the major brands adopting the standard in hopes AI companies will pay.https://www.theverge.com/news/775072/rsl-standard-licensing-ai-publishing-reddit-yahoo-medium

@zeldman I asked chatgpt if there had been any further endorsements or announcements of implementations or any indication of support from AI companies, and the answer was no, no and no.it offered to set up an alert to let me know if it every happened and i said sure. i think they just wanted to say "really simple" something to see if i would write a strongly-worded email to tim o'reilly, and confession, i did. 🙂 https://chatgpt.com/share/69079d4e-2f88-8012-908a-4afac72fbc30
