       My wife and I have been fostering kittens for quite a while. Our first foster was back in 2009. Even though we have fallen in love with every kitten, we have never kept any of our fosters. Well, that streak ends with this litter. These two fluffballs will be staying with us permanently. The orange tabby boy will henceforth be known as Sugar and the Calico girl will now be Spice. #cats #kittens #CatsOfMastodon

       @bbsmooth They're adorable! Congratulations to them and to you and your wife.I'm curious why you finally had a foster fail after all this time. If you're OK with sharing, why these two fluffballs vs. all the others?

       @jeridansky Basically, I did the math. Indoor cats can easily live 15 to 20 years. That will put me at 72 to 77. So I figured if we want to start from kittens again then we better pull the trigger soon or else they might be the ones saying goodbye to me down the road 😸
