@mlanger I’m a semi retired WFH person. But we have a young hound mix with lots of energy to burn. 4 walks per day, every day. (Nevermind that, as my husband says, I never stop moving. lol. Even just at home.) I average 11k+steps. Except on Thursday; she’s at doggie daycare and my legs get a well needed rest! #dogsofmastodon

@bookworks I need to walk more often. My road is perfect for it; it gets very little traffic and the dogs can run loose. But I've got a wacky neighbor with bad dogs and I don't want to walk in front of his house. The other direction is a crazy steep downhill. I should stop making excuses, though, and just do it.

@mlanger I’m so sorry that your neighbor’s dogs make it not okay for you and your doggos. Not fair! From the pics I’ve seen it looks like a beautiful area. If it makes sense, a walk without the pups?

@bookworks I'm worried about myself, too. The dogs will come out and harass people who walk, run, or ride by. They chased me 1/4 mile once when I rode my ATV past. One of his dogs killed my chickens twice. But maybe he doesn't leave them out anymore? I need to try.

It's not ideal to feel like you might need it, but bear spray works on dogs too.
