I wonder... now that we've seen Red Hat under IBM's auspices for a few years, how would have IBM buying Sun (instead of Oracle) back in the day panned out?#opensolaris #solaris #illumos

@danmcd I guess we'd still have ended up with OpenIndiana anyway, but at least OpenSolaris would probably still be a thing (and still open-source), probably just extremely enterprise.

@danmcd One that I'd wonder about though is whether ZFS, dtrace, … would have been relicensed from CDDL to something else like say MPL-2.0

@lanodan The original @triton_dc folks when they were open-sourcing things went MPL 2.0, so that's not unrealistic IMHO.
