@ojala > Looking for suggestions for desktop PC brand that makes easy to run Linux desktopThe easiest way to run GNU/Linux on a PC is to buy one that includes it as the default OS. My go-to list is this one, although it hasn't been updated yet this year;https://linuxpreloaded.com/> AND that is for sale in New ZealandThis seems to be a bit more complicated. Maybe it's time to gather a group to do the research and put together an official guide on this?#GNULinux@aligorith

@strypey @ojala Indeed. I mean, even testing what set of components can work well together as a "set order" that can be forwarded to some commercial "custom pc" builder firms (e.g. PbTech, or one of the smaller firms) is probably a good thing that could see some interest, especially right now with more people seriously looking at moving off Windows.Heck, I'm currently about to test whether my custom setup from a few years ago will work smoothly... (Really, it's fingers-crossed on the wifi working... otherwise, I may be forced to have to run cabling out several doors to the lounge!)

@ojala> Can't buy it for work from outside NZGotcha. Would be good to have local businesses selling them anyway. I've started a thread on this here, to see if anyone else is willing to work on a guide;https://community.iridescent.nz/t/gnu-linux-pcs-available-and-supported-in-aotearoa/159Hope you don't mind me quoting your post.@aligorith
