Note to self: when you think you’ve dropped your pen between two lounge chairs and a quick look shows something dark in the shadows, do NOT reach your hand down there to pick it up!Fortunately for my nerves it was a dead huntsman, but it was a major creep out nonetheless. Could have been worse, right? We’ve had funnelwebs in the house before. #arachnids #arachnophobia #spiders #straya #australia

@ellane I would never do that here in Cambodia. My wife warns me of even small things. Like the time this snake got in our bathroom. I have no idea how. A khmer person came in and took care of it. It was a little black snake.

@mpmilestogo Are they poisonous? I have a strange fascination with deadly creeping things, and somehow am not as afraid of them as I am of those that are harmless!

@ellane I don’t think so. I would have just got the broom and bucket thing and took the critter down the road. We do have harmless bigger things which also scares her. Cambodian people do like to eat bugs. My wife says they are like popcorn. Fried with chili is one way she will do them. Need a beer with them. I try the things. Not a fan of some of them.
