Looking for small online webshop recommendations. I used to be pretty good with WordPress 15 years ago, but I remember it always needing to be updated and plugins can be tough to deal with. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with a shopping cart type plugin. I have not looked into Shopify, but I think it's a pay per month kinda thing which would be ok if reasonable.does anyone have a platform they trust?

@Centerfinger The easiest is wordpress or squarespace.Wordpress is not that bad hosted anymore because the hosting company continuously updates wordpress and all your plugins for you.I use squarespace because it is easier and the costs and fees are not bad.

@Richard by hosted do you mean hosted by WP or my personal hosting company. I'm not sure if my hosting company would provide updates. I'll look into squarespace. I would like to host the site on my web host. It's been a long time since I did any web work and I'm sure things are easier now, than 20 years ago.
