       @FediThing imo on a decentralized network w/o algos, everybody should be welcome as long as they don't harass people. maybe not on your server but on one you federate with.I'm against them going after comments re Kirk and they aren't really decentralized, but I'm all for a conversation re users people hate but who aren't harassing anybody. we accept that we might stumble on junk on the web. why not here?

       @FediThing I just joined Mastodon after seeing what's happened on Bluesky over the last few days. It's really sad because I loved that platform and it truly felt like a safe space. I'm still on there for the time being but hoping I can build a decent enough following here that I can drop it. Seems a little bit more convoluted but I'm happy to be here!

       @wjmaggos @sagemistress @FediThing yep, this is why I don't think it's necessarily constructive to immediately block Bsky over this. Being able to warm folks up to a wider fediverse experience has a lot of value.
