my server just crashed again, several times in a rowI WILL be closing it within 2 daysAnyway. How do I keep it stable for now, or find why it keeps rebooting? I just disabled turbo boost for now so that heat won't be an issue

@xaetacore@neondystopia.world this is my setup (Lenovo RD450X hyperscale board)I know I can no longer mine on it, system crashes after some time, fedi runs okay since it's very light but this is the second time in a week the thing crashed out and needed time before becoming stable again. It shouldn't be CPU overheating, they're not even 10% loaded and run at like 42c.Before that I used to mine XMR on them 24/7

@Suiseiseki @iska @xaetacore windows server 2008 r2 cant be one of the worst because it is better than every other version of windows server for example 2012 no longer supports itanium. SADalso while i doubt the security (verifiably enough) the active directory management shit is peak ive not seen something close on *nix servers that shit is a royal fucking pain in my ass

@Suiseiseki @iska @xaetacore proprietary microsoft accounts? my guy this shit is not demanding a microsoft account its windows server 2008 r2also gnu is a lot slower and more prone to bug than a lot of competiting implementations for things. personally i like to take the freesoftware approach and use freebsd instead of those other proprietary eula operating systems that limit how you can use it, like GNUi mean take directory servers for example, active directory makes it SO easy and if not perfectly intuitive close fucking enough. ldap setups on (((GNU)))/Linux systems make we want to tear my fucking eyeballs out

@iska @Suiseiseki @xaetacore AGPL, server softwareand since they consider it closing a loophole the intent was clearly there all along, GPL is not a eula by mistale, they WILL force u to follow all these bullshot obligations because copyright is wrong therefore freedom from it is heavily using the broken copyright system to coerce and force developers to fit to their evangelistic misguided anti freedom ideology. i hope copyright goes away i will start modifying GPL software and republishing it without source code. actually i already do that but i could use my real name then for it. you know if the gpl was truly for freedom it wouldnt be backed by a legal team suing companies for not doing what they want the companies to do
