…The end of Beckwith’s federal career was precipitated by a call from #Bovino on July 14. He told her he was bringing his officers to Sacramento, ~600 miles north of the Mexico border, & wanted to know whom to notify in her office if they were assaulted….Beckwith reminded him the #BorderPatrol was under a federal #CourtOrder prohibiting it from stopping people indiscriminately in her district. It was clear, she said, that he knew about the order but did not seem to think it would stop his raid.

@Nonilex Thanks for pointing to this one. Reading it, seems pretty clear that ICE is writing their own far less restrictive rules, deciding how to interpret court orders and The Constitution. Obviously that's normally how it's done, but under the Trump regime, if you're an attorney unwilling to ignore the Constitution and the courts, you're out of a job.
