@Nonilex Thanks for pointing to this one. Reading it, seems pretty clear that ICE is writing their own far less restrictive rules, deciding how to interpret court orders and The Constitution. Obviously that's normally how it's done, but under the Trump regime, if you're an attorney unwilling to ignore the Constitution and the courts, you're out of a job.

I'm so old I remember Usenet, AOL chat groups, should have recognized the problem when it showed up on more modern social media platforms.You go for "followers" instead of conversation and pretty quickly your virtual living room is crowded with people between you and the one person on the other side who might be worth talking to. Then the crowd morphs into some kind of medieval battlefield and you're wondering why they're bleeding all over your floor and coming after you. Like a dirty record

OK, not exactly like a dirty record, but I needed a segue. Because much as I follow politics, I also collect and play (because it's about the music, not the collection) records.And yes, records are dirty and yes, you need to clean them. I've got a VPI (glorified shop-vac) to do the heavy lifting, but these days, it’s followed by multiple cycles in the 120kHz Degritter MKII ultrasonic to get down deop into the groove. #vinyl (updated 02/13/2025)

"I like any kind of music, so long as it's good," is certainly not my line, but I do agree with the sentiment. That said, "good" is subjective, which means in this house, because my wife loves all manner of Christmas music, I play some things I'm not that thrilled with, but she is. I'm not saying I hate the Christmas album on the far right of this photo. I do have some issues with people on the far right, but that's politics and I'm trying to stick to music here. #Music

I don't get into audio wars any more than I did political wars on that other social media. I do tubes and transistors, physical media and ones and zeros.
