       It's kinda funny they keep blaming #charliekirk on #liberals dude...do any of us look like we could shoot a #gun from clear across an auditorium, and perfectly nail someone in the neck like that?        @praetor he was raised in an ultra-conservative mormon household. Probably raised to handle a rifle competently. Usually when mormons distance themselves from their mormon lifestyle they pick something else where they go ALL IN. Much like people jumping between cults. So while for most progressives it's something they mostly do as a hobby for his mind it was possibly an substitute cult.Now when anti-fascists and left-leaning liberals verbally attack fascists and adjacent right-wingers they assume that their words will not lead to lethal violence. Despite modern western antifa being decentralized that was a pretty solid social contract (until now). The problem is that to an ex-cultist (yes mormons are lowkey a cult) "kill fascists" can sound like a very literal imparative. While Charlie Kirk was more conservative than fascist he was in the MAGA tent which by now I would describe as a modern fascist coalition.The problem is that you cannot just kill everybody vaguely adjacent to fascism, especially when you have inferior firepower and a public sphere that is still somewhat reluctant on political violence. It's anarchist adventurism, as Lenin would describe it, potentially dooming everyone through individual bad strategic decisions.Also as long as there is a political process, even if under repression, one should prioritize building popular fronts first, accelerating lethal conflict freaks out most normies. That involves not executing some unpleasant yapper who doesn't even have any meaningful authority.Perhaps antifascists should discuss about how the message resonates with psychologically vulnerable people who short-circuit these aspects in their thinking.

       @dagda I'm from SW Wyoming and lived in Utah for 4 years. Oh the fallen Mormons will go all in, into some sort of non-sense. The ranch kids shot guns. The mormon kids kinda...it's more "screams *bang* *bang*" Never met a Mormon who was actually any good at it.
